Why get tested?
Tumor marker tests measure specific substances in your blood that may indicate the presence or growth of cancer. These tests are often recommended if you have a family history of cancer, unexplained symptoms, or are undergoing treatment. Early testing helps in timely detection, monitoring therapy effectiveness, and supporting better treatment outcomes for long-term health.
What do the results mean?
Results from tumor marker tests provide valuable insights into your health. Elevated levels may indicate cancer, but they can also rise due to non-cancerous conditions. Normal levels don’t always rule out disease, so results are interpreted alongside other medical findings. At Medilab, our specialists explain your results clearly and recommend further investigations or follow-up care if necessary.
